Sewing labels
So I have been on a quest to have custom sewing labels made. My requirements are pretty simple: personal, distinctive, and down to earth. I will be using them for knitted gifts. (just how many knitted gifts will I make? do I need a few lifetime supply!) There are a lot of companies that make labels. However, very few make small run and custom woven labels. I mucked around a bit and found ...
... a bunch on about.com (http://sewing.about.com/od/sewinglabel/)
http://www.charmwoven.com/page.html
http://www.namemaker.com/
http://www.generallabel.com/html/smallcustom.html
http://www.apparellabels.com.au/
http://www.nameonlabels.com/
http://www.luckylabel.com/

I emailed Charmwoven (who has very reasonable price posted) and want to find out if I can have a 'semi-custom' one made - combining two on their site. I received a a polite but "no" ...
Not satisfied, I did more searching and found http://www.labelyourstuff.com/. I emailed them and Laura was very nice and gave me a quote. They arent cheap, but ... they do small run and custom work.
So I created the 'artwork', paid 50% deposit for 'sample' run .... stay tuned.
