Bamboo corset bust dec WS/RS

DSCN0365.jpg

I don't mean to sound philosophical, but what does R[ight]S[ide] mean? Is it the side you think should face you, or the side the pattern say to face you, or am I just too lame to figure out what's right and what's wrong?

After careful studying of my WiP and the pattern and the finished Corset on Yahoo Group and countless revisualizing my CO, RS, WS flipping and enlarging photos and and and ....

I have concluded that I am mixed up. Here is the alleged RS and the alleged WS based on my CO, RS, WS & me following the pat.

The trouble is .... [besides the fuzzies fuzz] I like how the bust decrease creates a good bust dart on the WS and I like how the garter and stockinette creates purty lace top edge. This is troublesome since the pattern wasnt meant for the RS lace and WS bust decrease to be on the same side. On top of what I consider right and wrong issue, I find I am not liking the zigzag in Chart D.

So...
I took unilateral action and step down the 4 rows of Chart D to undo the twisted stitches, and turn the two decreases at the end of Chart C towards each other. Here is where I am: RS - has two rib ridges ends in garter and two extending into the body and WS - WS has one central rib ridge (and forks) extending into the body. I have 10" minus 7 rows to decide what's right and what's wrong.

Duh. Yes. Righto, the now RS has garter and reverse St st. Yes, I do believe thats my new RS.
