Aran front

DSCN0559.gif

I finished the aran front last night. Below the aran is an Old Navy Favorite T, part of my regular uniform. I am crossing my fingers, the size and length seems to look ok. :)

Oh, and true to my lack of attention and ability to follow direction, I totally screwed up the dec on the neckline. I will deal with it when I pick up stitches for the rib collar. Sleeves, seam, and collar to go ... This is taking me forever.

...mistakes ..

DSCN0552.jpg

I found a mistake yesterday on the aran back. I was so obessive about it that I fixed it last night. Then ... I noticed another .. ahem.. problem. I ..er. yeah. am .. too .. embarrass ... to talk about it ...

the front and back .. are. different. width. There. *crossing fingers* the size difference should not be .. noticable.

(I hope)

Row 96 .. of ..

... one hundred and twenty something for the aran top. No pics. It looks just like the back :). I am knitting as often and fast as I can! Knitting time is really limited right now and I am trying my best to not stray into other projects.

UPDATE:
*CRY* I just noticed I made mistakes in the (finished) back! Will frog and redo.

I look like ...

Purple and plush

DSCN0550.jpg

The cutest purple plush ever came from W+Jo yesterday. They had called a couple of weeks ago(?) to tell me Monterey Aquarium's newest sunfish is in their Outter Bay Tank. Oh my! A PURPLE PLUSH SUNFISH and a silver sunfish charm!

I am pretty obessive about this fish. It is just adorable to me. I looked for it last time I was there (a few years ago) and Jo learned that when it grows too big, they take it back out to the ocean and start all over with a new one. They had one in a qurantine tank, but it was not ready. Nex time, hopefully I have good timing next time.

The right color, yarn and pattern ...

DSCN0544.jpg

GD and I stopped in Weaving Works last weekend(?) since .. ahem... we need more yarn. She helped me pick out a rich brown tweed for my mom's cardi. Wooo! I have pattern, yarn, and measurements. Maybe ... hopefully...

Now I just need to do some math (finish some projects).

Thank you J!

I got package from J, the enabler, yesterday. I opened the box and it has a cute card that detailed all the goodies.

- 5+ skeins of Noro silk garden (for Kiss purse perhaps!)
- KP main line and shine worsted (cotton blend yarn for petting and swatching)
- AV fall 2003 book (not photographed, for I-like-that-neckline-sweater)
- and a present for GD (not photographed)
- a corkscrew scarf pattern

and the BEST part ...

A BAG OF CEY Sand. It is textured black cotton yarn! It would be perfect for a three season pullover or something real simple to show off the yarn.

Yarn! :)
