I am quite conflicted about color. I love colors ... I have tried and tried to wear color clothing and accessories. But .. I have had no success building a real relationship with colors.

When I started stashing yarn ... (that's right, I said stashing, since I wasn't really knitting ... yet) I converted Manos Bing Cherry. It is kettle dyed dark burgundy .. simply beautiful! Like other artisan yarn, every skein is different. I selected the deepest darkest Bing Cherry. I purchased a few skeins here and there. And.. they sat in the stash. I finally came to the conclusion that I should set the Bing Cherry skeins free. So I begin to proposition J about trading something for the Bing Cherry.

AKA..What do you do when you have a conf call at Sunday Midnight?

Well, you start an icord after dinner .. and stop at 11:57am. Here is the icord and the body of the purse. GD and I got plastic bottom and a swivel hook (for key) this weekend ...

Oh, btw, did I mention there is a black yarn shortage? Here is a pic of Rowan ASC - Slick. The top ball is from Woolworks in OR. The bottom ball is from JBW in NV. Phew. I am hunting for a few more balls in this lovely shade ..

Yesterday, I was reading Real Simple while I patiently wait for my hair cut. It had an article about "What to do when you friend started dressing like you?" Well, I had a friend who did that in college . She and I were good friends and we were very different. She basically started dressing like me, hanging out at the same places, listening to the same music, playing with the same boys, etc. Er. Yeah.

Oh, so to make a story short, the article say these things basically happen when there is positive something something social behavior going on. But I was young trying desparetely to create my own identity. What she did wasnt so hot. So back to more recent memory.J and I independently picked up fiber crafty hobby. J was crocheting, and I was knitting.Oh, what's my point?

An awful camera phone picture of the Felted Bag GD and I were drooling over. It is from The Knitting Experience : Book 3: Color from Sally Melville. The sample used Jo Sharp Tweed and Noro Kureyon. It is a fun tote and I am wondering if I can pair leftover Cascade Pastaza with "something something"..hrmph, that would be a nice prez.

No progress on knitting this weekend. However, I did dig up some possible trade candidates: two hanks of CTH possum lace or four skeins of Manos in Lava colorway.with J.

In the process of digging, I realize I need to update my inventory. Perhaps I will find more candidates.

A box! A special box! It is a CAT LITTER box! :) Two cones of Peace Fleece in Baku Black. One is ~1lb 4oz, the other is ~1lb 1oz. Kooler couldnt resist checking out the box ..

It wasnt too long ago I ranted about not finding black denim yarn. Well... my very own black denim yarn is now in my very own stash! Yes!! I found it on ebay... and I paid just slightly over retail. Whoo!

I STAND CORRECTED! J is brillant .. again! 6 x 23 -> 138! I paid less than retail!

Black denim is just not vogue? 20 balls of Rowan black denim went for $255 on ebay. BUT ....

I just saw Debbie Bliss denim #11. Is it black.. is it navy?!
