What's wrong?
Well, let me name a few ...
1. I am very cranky. (.. something about a**-chewing...)
2. My right forearm is in serious pain.
3. My gauge is different between the two jaywalker socks.
4. I want to cast on the MK aran sweater
I am thinking about tubular cast-on for plain 1x1 hem... I wonder about tubular hem tho.

re: gauge difference (btw, they were US2 you borrowed for sock #1) -- have you tried on the new sock in progress? I wonder if the other one is slightly stretched out from trying on?
also, you could run some elastic through the finished sock. :)
